Learn to Make Your Own Straw Hat with Heirloom Hats!
Join me, Samantha, designer and owner of Heirloom Hats, for a hands-on straw hat making workshop and walk away with a beautiful, one-of-a-kind hat you made yourself!
This is an 8 hour workshop that takes place over two sessions on the weekend of January 30–31st. The first session runs Saturday, January 30th from 10am to 2pm, and the second runs Sunday, January 31st from 10am to 2pm, both held at my studio at 9200 Rue Meilleur. Attendance on both days is required to complete your hat.
With a maximum of 8 participants, you'll receive personalized guidance throughout the process — so whether your skills are beginner or advanced, you'll have everything you need to create your perfect hat. No sewing experience is necessary, though it's always a bonus!
What's included:
- A straw capeline or hood of your choice (based on the hat shape you'd like to make)
- Grosgrain ribbon and thread
- A wooden hat block for use throughout the class
- A stitch guide
- A complete supplier list for sourcing raw materials
- 8 hours of fun! 🙂
